Sheffield Horangi & Master Darren are members of the Sheffield SangMu Taekwondo association and follows the Kukkiwon sylabus for Taekwondo and is a member of The British Taekwondo & Mudo Academy (BTMA).

The BTMA is a member of the British Taekwondo Council (BTC) which is recognised by The Sports Council as the governing body for Taekwondo in the United Kingdom.

Sheffield SangMu Taekwondo Association came into being when Master Tim Evans gained his 4th Dan within the IL GI Taekwondo Association (Headed by Master Craig Waddington) in the late 1980s. This allowed Master Tim to create the Sheffield Sangmu Association and become independent of IL GI. Master John Gabbard took over as head of SangMu when Master Tim retired in the mid 1990's. Many senior instructors in Sheffield have there roots within SangMu before leaving to create there own associations.

All current Sheffield Sang Mu instructors are BTC registered instructors, Fully insured, DBS checked and hold first aid certification.
